Do we need a licence? It depends on where you are selling. If you are not ‘on the streets’, for example you have a fireworks event in a field, then you do not require any licence. If you are ‘on the streets’, for example at a Christmas Lights Turning-on event, them with local Council permission you do not need a licence to sell. Without local Council permission you can still sell by registering at your local Police Station as a Pedler, there is a small charge for this. Probably the easiest and cheapest (because it’s free!) way is to obtain a Street Collection Licence from the District Council. Phone them up and explain what you want to do. They are usually very helpful towards the Lions. The formal name for what you want is – “Application for Permission to hold a street collection to collect money or sell articles for the benefit of Charity or other purposes” issued under the Police, Factories Etc (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1916.
What is the best way to sell the items? Two people using the display boxes, one to dispense the items, the other to deal with the money. We have had these boxes made to our specification and, as such, are ideal for the job.

Do items come with batteries fitted? Yes.
What happens if items are faulty? In the unlikely event of a faulty item, a full refund for the item will be given.

How long does it take to deliver? Standard delivery is 2-3 days, subject to availability. Overnight is subject to an extra charge.
How far in advance can we order? We suggest that you order 4 weeks in advance of your event, which helps us plan our ‘picking and packing’, but if you discover you want any items for a “last-minute” event, we will do everything possible to ‘rush’ you your order.
